Diana also sent a typed listing of Elisha & Sarah (Spurgeon) Leazenby's family given to her by Grace McKitrick, Elisha and Sarah's daughter. donated April 2001.

It should be noted that the Bible in which Jesse & Ann's 1835 marriage is recorded was copyrighted in 1873. I assume much of the birth and marriage information was added all at once. This bible was in the Nebraska branch so I assume it to have belonged to Elisha G. Leazenby who married in 1879 and moved to Nebraska

I have seen the name vaiously spelled Leazenby, Lozenbee, Leasonby, Lazenby

Migration: Both Ann & Jesse were born in Ohio, and married there at her father's home in 1835. In June 1839 Jesse purchased land in Steward township, Section 9 of Kosciusko County Indiana. The Dunnuck family, John, and Joshua and families and Catherine Dunuck all first arived in Kosciusko Co. in the 1838-1839 time frame. Jesse can be found there in the 1840 census which was taken in Sept. of 1840. It shows Jesse and Ann with three sons under 5. The next household listed is John Dunwick. Ann's brother John D. married Jesse's sister Catherine Leazenby. In 1850 Jesse and Ann are listed in White county, IN census. Jesse's son Elisha lived in IN until 1884/5 when he moved to Nebraska where he is found in the 1900 census . Jesse's parents also came to Kosciusko Co. at the same time and are listed in the 1840 & 1850 census.
