right family??- I have a Nellie & Charles in Blackfoot, ID.   July 25, 1957: David and I started for Idaho this morning. We stopped in Salt Lake City at the Fish Hatchery and had dinner with Iris, LaMar and family, and then on to Idaho.

We stopped at Incom, Idaho, by Pocatello, and visited with Aunt Nellie’s son Ellis and his family for half an hour and then went to Blackfoot, Idaho to stay the night with Aunt Nellie’s (Dunnick) place.

*Newspaper Obit - published Sept 17th 1902 lists her death as "Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1902" (I thave also seen the 17th listed). She is survived by sons George of Lincoln, Clyde of California, and five daughters Mrs. E.E. Hersey of Chicago, Mrs. J. F. Wendling of Quincy, Mrs. D.W. Stookey of Cedar Rapids, IA, Mrs. Kate Perkins of Binnsville, Miss. and Mrs. Hoy (of Springfield, IL)

  Children: Nicholas and Margaret had 10 children: Mary Bell (died young), George J (b. 1851)., infant son., Margaret (b. Nov. 1851), Angeline L. (b. 1852) Annie L. (Fannie) (b.ca 1854), Catherine (Kate) b.1856), E.F. (Emma "Florence") (b. 1858), Linnie D. (b. 1865), Clyde M. (b. ca 1867). each child also listed seperately



A biography written in 1881 while Margaret was still living indicated they "have" 7 children. Missing were Mary, Margaret, and the infant son.
  "In 1841 an Englishman by the name of Rowell built a steam saw and flour mill in the southwest part of town which he operated until 1850, when he sold it to the Dunnick Brothers who afterwards replaced it with a larger mill on the same site." (Abstracted from 125th Anniversary Book, pub. 1957 ) I assume the brothers refers to Joshua, but might also refer to Elisha.

Another source has the steam grist-mill erected in 1844 by Nightingale & Rowell. - 1881 - thriving business. (History of Sangamon Co. 1881, page 955)
  Two years after they married they moved to Illinois. Settling first in Springfield where they sept the remaining part of the winter then settled on a farm on Lick Creek, north of Chatham where they lived for four years. From there they moved to Mechanicsburg where they bought the old Mechanisburg Mill.
